Do you play an instrument, or are you interested in learning guitar, bass, drums, etc.?
If so, we are looking for students interested in attending a field trip on an upcoming Friday to Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation in Phoenix. This is a community center and music studio which invites students to play and learn from professional musicians. If you are interested in attending, please see Mr. Miller, or call the school office at 480-726-9536.

During the month of February, El Dorado High School students and staff will be raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as part of the school’s “Pennies For Patients” program. Last year, EDHS raised $800 to help this very worthy cause. This year, we want to break that record! Mr. Simpson’s class was the top
fundraiser last year. Beginning in February, 2nd period classes will be taking up this great cause – let’s get involved! There will be no school on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr./Civil Rights Day. El Dorado High School classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
El Dorado High School students, parents, families and staff members contributed generously to many local charities over the holidays. Among those organizations:
* The Chandler Christian Center * United Food Bank * United Blood Services * The Gilbert Community Center Thanks to everyone for your extreme generosity! New vocational programs are on the way at El Dorado High School!
Beginning this block, EDHS students will be able to take a number of new and exciting vocational courses. Students interested in the exciting fields of business technology and forensic science will now have the opportunity to take these courses and pursue vocational certification at EDHS. El Dorado also is partnering with Thorobred Chevrolet in Chandler, to allow students to study automotive mechanics. For more information on these career opportunities, call 480-726-9536. |
